Our physical therapists work with children, from infancy through adolescence, to facilitate gross motor and sensory development while improving function, safety and independence.  The physical therapist will implement an individualized treatment plan, inclusive of family training, to assist each child in reaching their maximal potential.

Physical therapy can be beneficial for children with a wide variety of diagnoses and limitations that include: developmental delay, plagiocephaly/torticollis, high risk/premature infants, cerebral palsy, hypotonia, hypertonia, developmental coordination disorders, ASD, spina bifida, and brain injuries.

Physical therapy intervention promotes strength, balance, coordination and movement skills.  We offer comprehensive evaluations of gross motor development by which we will recommend a frequency and duration of treatment sessions.  Treatment sessions can vary in length and can be performed in an individualized or group setting. Type your paragraph here.

I have been a Physical Therapist for 6 years, with a focus on the pediatrics.  Upon completion of my doctorate degree I began my career as a Physical Therapist working at Matheny Medical and Educational Center in Peapack, NJ, a school and hospital for children with multiple disabilities.  During this time I also began working as an Early Intervention PT in Union County.  In 2012 I joined the therapy team at the Arc Kohler School in Mountainside.  Through this varied practice I have gained experience working with children ages birth-21 with complex medical diagnoses, developmental delay, motor challenges and equipment needs.

In April 2013, my twin boys were born extremely premature at just 24 weeks.  This experience has enabled me to relate to the families I am treating on a more personal level.  I believe in a family centered approach and working as a team in order to achieve the most optimal outcomes for the child.
